My kids love to eat fruit, but they especially love it when I give them something to dip their apple slices into. While they enjoy Nutella like a fish enjoys water, they also have a soft spot in their hearts for this yogurt dip for fruit.

The creamy texture of this skinny peanut butter yogurt dip makes it incredibly versatile, allowing you to dip various fruits such as apple slices, banana chunks, strawberries, or even pineapple spears.

The peanut butter adds a delicious nuttiness without overpowering the fruity goodness of the fresh produce. With each dip, you'll savor the delightful contrast between the creamy, nutty dip and the juicy, sweet fruits.

💛 Why You'll Love This Recipe

  1. A lighter option. Greek yogurt paired with low sugar peanut butter and raw honey keeps this dip creamy and satisfying while making it a more health conscious choice.
  2. Pairs with almost anything. Apples, bananas, and fresh berries are all delicious with this dip. It's also great with pretzels, celery, or carrot sticks for a savory twist.
  3. Quick to make. Just mix a few ingredients in a bowl and it's ready to serve in minutes. It's as fast and easy as our Smoked Trout Dip.

🛒 Ingredients

Peanut butter. Use any creamy peanut butter you like. Other nut butters work too for a more allergen friendly option.

Yogurt. Vanilla or plain Greek yogurt works best, but regular vanilla yogurt is fine as well. You can even use homemade yogurt like our Instant Pot Yogurt.

If you still have fruit and yogurt leftover, use them in our Breakfast Banana Split, Strawberry Banana Orange Smoothie, or Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats.

Honey. We love using local raw honey for its benefits and to support local beekeepers, but any honey or even agave works to sweeten the dip.

See the recipe card below for full ingredients and instructions.

💰 Budget-Friendly Tips

Use Plain Yogurt: Plain or store-brand vanilla yogurt is usually cheaper and works just as well as name brands.

Buy Peanut Butter in Bulk: Large jars of peanut butter cost less per serving and can be used in multiple recipes.

Skip Extra Sweeteners: If your yogurt is already sweetened, you can reduce or skip the honey to save money.

Stretch with Seasonal Fruit: Serve this dip with in-season fruit like apples or grapes for the lowest cost and best flavor.

🥄 Instructions for Peanut Butter Yogurt Fruit Dip

Step 1: Mix together all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth and well blended.

Step 2: Serve immediately with your favorite sliced fruits.

Step 3: Keep stored in the fridge in a covered bowl when not being eaten.

👩🏻‍🍳 Expert Tips

  1. Chill for best flavor. The dip can be eaten right away, but chilling it for an hour or two helps the flavors meld and thickens the texture for easier dipping.
  2. Adjust thickness. Greek yogurt creates a thicker, cheesecake style dip, while regular yogurt is looser. If it's too thick, stir in a teaspoon of milk. If it's too thin, add a spoonful of yogurt.
  3. Taste before sweetening. Yogurt sweetness varies by brand, so taste first before adding more honey to avoid over sweetening.
  4. Stir before serving. Some separation is normal after chilling. A quick stir will bring it back together.

❄️ Storage and Make Ahead

Storage: Store the Peanut Butter Yogurt Fruit Dip covered in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Stir before serving if any separation occurs.

Make Ahead: This dip can be made 1-2 days ahead. The flavor improves as it chills, making it perfect for meal prep, parties, or grab-and-go snacks.

🥗 Side Dishes or Pairing Ideas
