This air fryer frozen garlic bread recipe is ideal for fast side dishes and easy snacking. Ready in just 5 minutes and perfectly satisfying every time.

I can't be the only one that loves garlic bread right? A nice thick slice of well seasoned garlic butter on toasty bread is the ideal late night snack like these Air Fryer Frozen Mozzarella Sticks or they can be used as a side dish to complement pasta.
When boiling pasta you're already heating up the kitchen and if there's no reason to preheat your oven to 400 Degrees F, why bother? With just 5 minutes you can air fry texas toast without adding to the hot room situation.

🍯 Why This Recipe Works
- It's fast! Most frozen bread slices I've seen require the oven to reach 400 or 425 degrees F in your oven, which often means 15 or more minutes of waiting for it to preheat before you can even bake the bread. The air fryer takes 5 minutes, and no preheating is necessary.
- You can use any brand! We like to use texas toast in the air fryer but that's because it's readily available. Other brands work great too. We often grab boxes of texas toast style garlic bread from our local Dollar Tree but Aldi and Walmart both have great selections.
- No thawing! You can place frozen garlic bread in the air fryer without needing to thaw the bread first. Open box, separate slices, pop them in the basket and cook. It's super simple.
🥘 Ingredients
Ingredient Notes:
Frozen Texas Toast- Use a box of your favorite garlic bread. You can use any brand, but we really enjoy the texas toast garlic bread for this.
Cooking spray- This is optional but can be used to help make your air fryer more non-stick and to help with the cleanup later.

📖 Variations
There are a lot of different types of frozen garlic bread out there and we have tried a lot (and I mean A LOT) haha. All of them have turned out incredible.
The frozen garlic toast with cheese on top is one of our favorites but the plain garlic bread is also fabulous. So no matter what flavor you choose, you should be in for a good time as long as you pick one that you already know and like.
🔪 Instructions
Step 1: Open a box of Texas toast garlic bread and separate the slices so that they are no longer stuck together.
Step 2: Place 4 slices of garlic bread into the basket of your air fryer. You can spray it with olive oil spray if desired, but I find it isn't necessary.
Step 3: Cook at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes until golden and toasty.
Serve warm and enjoy.
🍴 Recipe Tips
Flipping not required
We normally do not flip the garlic bread over to the other side as it cooks because the top side of the bread is usually the only side covered in toppings, so flipping it would make a mess in the air fryer.
If your slice is just butter and garlic (regular/plain) then you can flip it over to the other side and get both sides evenly toasted if desired. If you do this, flip the bread at the 3 minute mark.
Don't overfill the fryer
Never overload the air fryer, 4-5 slices should fit in an 8 qt or 6 quart air fryer with space to spare. You need this additional space for the air to circulate around. If needed, work in batches.
🍳Reheating
You can reheat your garlic bread slices by cooking it at 360 degrees F for 2 minutes. That said, it truly tastes best when eaten fresh the first time.
🥗 Serving Ideas
Serve your toasted garlic bread with a side of marinara dipping sauce as a simple snack or appetizer or serve it along with your meal. It would be great served alongside any good pasta meal like Lemon Garlic Butter Pasta or Creamy Roasted Garlic and Tomato Pasta.
💭 FAQs
Yes, if desired you can top your garlic bread with cheese, either a nice blended cheese or even plain cheddar could be incredible. I like the blends with parmesan cheese and Asiago.
Nope! There is no need to thaw the bread before using, but letting it rest for a minute on the counter could be helpful if your slices get too stuck to each other in the packaging.
Your texas toast will be warm after about 3 or 4 minutes in the air fryer depending on which ones you use as different brands and types will vary in size and thickness. Adding the extra minute or two really helps to give it a nicely browned look and crispy texture.
