What's black and white and delicious all over? This cookies and cream fudge! We love Oreo cookies in sweet recipes like Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies and Oreo Bread Pudding, but this recipe satisfies the cravings for something rich and creamy.
We are big fans of fudge, and my favorite recipes don't require boiling sugars or candy thermometers. This is what makes fudge recipes like this and my Rolo Turtle Fudge and Armpit Fudge recipe non-traditional.
Still, we're perfectly fine with that because the results are nothing less than incredible.

💛 Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Minimal effort. You will spend hardly any time at all gathering the ingredients and mixing everything together. The most difficult step is having the patience to let the fudge set.
- It's versatile. Grab your favorite flavor of Oreo cookies or make other minor modifications for maximum flavor change and new experiences every time.
- No stove required! Just grab a mixing bowl and your microwave. This means you can make it at home, in your hotel, or in the dorm rooms. Microwave recipes like this fudge and our Microwave Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes are perfect for avoiding the stove.
🛒 Ingredients

White chocolate chips- Use a bag of white chocolate chips. You can use any brand, but I know that the best results come from fancier name brands like Ghirardelli, as they melt much more smoothly and easily.
Oreo cookies- see any flavor of Oreo cookies for this fudge. We use plain/original, but feel free to use double stuffed, mint, or any other flavor.
Canned vanilla frosting- This is necessary for helping the fudge to feel soft and creamy. You could opt for chocolate frosting or a festive colored frosting if desired.
See the recipe card below for full ingredients and instructions.
🔀 Substitutions & Variations
White chocolate chips: Swap the white chips for dark, semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or a mix for a deeper chocolate flavor.
Frosting: Use chocolate, cream cheese, or any canned frosting you prefer. Vanilla and cream cheese give the creamiest, most classic cookies-and-cream taste.
Oreo cookies: Any Oreo flavor works, double-stuff, mint, holiday varieties, or whatever you have on hand. It's an easy way to customize the fudge for different seasons or events.
💰 Budget-Friendly Tips
Use store-brand ingredients. Generic white chocolate chips, frosting, and sandwich cookies taste nearly identical once mixed into fudge and can cut the total cost significantly.
Buy Oreos in bulk or on sale. Larger packages, family-size boxes, or off-brand chocolate sandwich cookies are perfect since this recipe crushes most of them anyway.
Use leftover cookies. This 3 Ingredient Oreo Fudge is great for using the broken cookies and crumbs at the bottom of the bag, no need to waste the imperfect pieces.

👩🏻🍳 Expert Tips
- Double broiler. You can make this microwave oreo fudge in a mixing bowl or on the stove. To do this, you can melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in a pot over very low heat on the stove.
- Let the fudge set. After an hour in the fridge, you can cut the fudge into squares, but the fudge will be very soft compared to the chocolate candies. After 2 hours the fudge will be firmer. Ideally, you will want to wait about 3-4 hours before serving.
❄️ Storage
Fridge: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. It stays firm, creamy, and easy to slice when chilled.
Room Temperature: Once fully set, the fudge can be kept at room temp for 3-5 days, but it will be softer.
Freezer: Freeze fudge squares for up to 2 months. Wrap each piece tightly in plastic wrap and store in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag. Thaw in the fridge for the best texture.
🥗 Side Dishes or Pairing Ideas
Oreo fudge pairs well with simple treats like fresh berries, salty snacks such as pretzels or popcorn, or warm drinks like hot cocoa or chai. It also makes a great addition to dessert boards, cookie trays, or holiday gift boxes.

❓ Recipe FAQs
Traditionally, one serving of fudge would be 1 square inch of fudge but because we top our fudge with oreo cookies, cutting a square around the cookies gives us one larger serving sized piece that is easy to gauge.
For straight lines and smooth cuts, use a heated knife. By taking a large knife and holding it above a heated stove burner or running it under very hot water, you can warm it up enough to cut through the fudge effortlessly.
If you over-mix your fudge you run the risk of causing it to set up and become hard as a rock. To keep your fudge soft and smooth, only mix until fully combined, and work quickly because it will set quickly.
