🛒 Ingredients

Flour tortillas- You will need some flour tortillas for this recipe. You can use any size tortilla, but I like to use the 8 inch ones. Still have tortillas leftover? Try this Tortilla French Toast or Air Fryer Tortilla Pizza.
Butter- Melted butter will help to get the spiced sugar to adhere to the tortillas, and it adds a lot of nice flavors too.
Cinnamon sugar- Make a blend of cinnamon sugar to cover your chips. You can adjust the sugar to cinnamon ratio to suit your own tastes. I love being heavy handed on cinnamon in my recipes (especially in recipes like my Clone of a Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll).
See the recipe card below for full ingredients and instructions.
🔀 Substitutions & Variations
Tortilla Options. You can swap flour tortillas for corn tortillas if preferred. No changes to the recipe steps are needed.
Flavor Boosts. Add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar or a splash of vanilla to the melted butter for extra flavor.
Seasonal Twist. Use pumpkin spice instead of cinnamon sugar for a fall-inspired version (like I do in my Pumpkin Spice Snickerdoodles).
💰 Budget-Friendly Tips
Buy Tortillas in Bulk. Large tortilla packs are far cheaper per piece. Use extras for quesadillas, wraps, or more dessert chips.
Repurpose Stale Tortillas. This recipe is perfect for using up tortillas that are starting to dry out. No waste and maximum savings.
Stretch Your Cinnamon Sugar. Leftover cinnamon sugar can be used on toast, oatmeal, Snickerdoodle Popcorn, or homemade graham crackers, one mix goes a long way.

👩🏻🍳 Expert Tips
Adjusting Servings. This Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips recipe makes a large batch, but you can easily halve it for fewer chips.
Avoid doubling the recipe, as overcrowding the air fryer will lead to uneven cooking. If you need more, cook additional batches instead of adding everything at once.
❄️ Storage
Storage: You can keep leftover Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, but for the best results, I would recommend eating them within 2 or 3 days.

❓ Recipe FAQs
If your chips are still a bit chewy after being cooked, that simply means that they need a little longer to cook. Add a minute or two to the air fryer and check on them midway. Sometimes they only need as much as 20 seconds to fully crisp up!
Flour tortillas are higher in calories but create softer and puffier chips. They also have a natural sweetness that pairs nicely with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Corn tortillas are another option, but they may become crisper. Overall the biggest difference is the texture.
I use salted butter and like to use it when possible, but you can use either one! Salted butter helps to bring out the flavors in the recipe, but unsalted butter is delicious too.

- ½ cup granulated sugar - ($0.18)
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon - ($0.16)
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted - ($0.50)
- 4 flour tortillas, 8 inch - ($1.11)
Instructions
- Mix cinnamon sugar. Stir together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Butter tortillas. Brush the melted butter over both sides of each tortilla.
- Season. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides of the tortillas.
- Cut. Use a pizza cutter to slice each tortilla into wedges.
- Air fry. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and arrange the tortilla wedges in a single layer. Air fry at 350°F for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Cool and serve. Transfer the chips to a plate or wire rack to cool. Chips will crisp as they cool. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
- Substitutions. Corn tortillas can be used for a different texture and flavor.
- Variations. Add nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, or apple pie spice to the cinnamon sugar. A splash of vanilla can be mixed into the melted butter.
- Recipe Tips. Halve the recipe for smaller air fryers. Avoid doubling, as overcrowding prevents even crisping. If chips are slightly chewy, air fry for an additional 20 to 60 seconds.
