🛒 Ingredients

Crescent rolls- Use your favorite brand of canned crescent rolls. They bake up buttery and flaky. If you have extra, try them in Strawberry Cheesecake Crescent Rolls or Crack Chicken Bombs.
Mozzarella cheese- Shredded cheese will give us a great filling. You can use a shredded pizza blend instead.
Pepperoni slices- Regular slices, mini pepperoni, or turkey pepperoni all work. You can also omit for a meatless version.
See the recipe card below for full ingredients and instructions.
🔀 Substitutions & Variations
Meatless Pizza Bombs. Skip the pepperoni and add extra cheese or sautéed mushrooms, onions, or spinach.
Supreme-Style. Mix in a spoonful of cooked sausage, diced peppers, or onions for a mini supreme pizza flavor.
Hawaiian Twist. Use pineapple and Canadian bacon. Place the pineapple between the meat slices to keep the dough from getting soggy.
💰 Budget-Friendly Tips
Use Store-Brand Dough. Store-brand crescent rolls taste nearly identical to name-brand once baked. Big savings for party-sized batches.
Shred Your Own Cheese. Block mozzarella is cheaper per ounce and melts smoother than pre-shredded.
Add Veggies to Stretch the Filling. Sautéed peppers, onions, or mushrooms help bulk up the pizza bombs so one can of crescents goes further.
🥄 Instructions for Muffin Tin Pizza Bombs
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Spray a muffin tin with non stick cooking spray.
Step 3: Open your crescent roll dough and lay each triangle over an open muffin tin space.
Step 4: Push them in to make a cup so that the base of the muffin cups is covered while the remaining dough is hanging up and over the sides.

Step 5: Add a teaspoon of pizza sauce into the center of each muffin cup.

Step 6: Add two slices of pepperoni.

Step 7: Add a piece of cheese and then add two more pieces of pepperoni on top.

Step 8: Take the ends of the triangles and fold them over the top to cover the pepperoni. They should look kind of like a ball.

Step 9: Sprinkle the top with your Italian seasoning.
Step 10: Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy warm.

👩🏻🍳 Expert Tips
- Choose the Right Dough. Make sure you're using the crescent triangles and not the crescent dough sheet, which won't fold the same way.
- Filling Assembly. Fold the wider part of the crescent triangle over the filling first, then seal with the smaller tip. This keeps the cheese from leaking out during baking.
- Don't Overfill. A small spoonful of sauce is plenty. Too much will cause sogginess or blowouts.

❓ Recipe FAQs
You can keep leftovers stored in an airtight container in your fridge for up to 4 days. Enjoy cold or reheat before eating depending on your preferences.
You can make and freeze these bombs for later. After assembling, place the muffin pan in the freezer for about 2 hours until the muffins are frozen solid and can be removed. Then place into a gallon-sized Ziploc bag for later. They can be stored for up to 2 weeks. Then simply take out as many as you want and bake FROZEN at 375 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Line the air fryer with a parchment paper piece (the ones with vent holes, made for the fryer). Lay a piece of crescent roll and shape into a circle, patting flat. Top with sauce, meat, and cheese and roll into a ball covering the filling well. Place into the air fryer. Repeat as needed. Cook at 350 degrees F for 15 min.

Muffin Tin Pizza Bites
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 cans crescent roll dough - ($3.96)
- ½ cup pizza sauce - ($0.44)
- 32 slices pepperoni - ($1.28)
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded - ($0.99)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted - ($0.22)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning - ($0.08)
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder - ($0.02)
- ½ teaspoon salt - ($0.01)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided - ($0.40)
Instructions
- Preheat and prep. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a standard muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
- Form dough cups. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Press one triangle into each muffin well, shaping it into a cup so the bottom is covered and the dough hangs slightly over the sides.
- Add filling. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce into each dough cup. Add 2 slices of pepperoni, followed by 1 piece of mozzarella cheese, then top with 2 more slices of pepperoni.
- Seal bombs. Fold the dough ends over the filling to fully enclose it, forming a sealed ball. Pinch gently if needed to close gaps.
- Season and bake. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and Parmesan cheese. Brush the mixture over the tops of the crescent rolls. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Notes
- Dough choice. Use crescent roll triangles, not sheets, for best shaping.
- Sealing tip. Fold the wider end of the triangle over the filling first, then use the narrow tip to cover gaps.
- Storage. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat as desired.
- Air fryer option. Line the basket with vented parchment. Assemble pizza bombs and air fry at 350°F for about 15 minutes, checking for even browning.
