🥘 Ingredients
Ingredient Notes:
Boxed yellow cake mix- This will be the base of the recipe and already includes the flour, sugar, and leavening agents needed- which makes everything that much easier.
Instant vanilla pudding- Use a box of pudding mix (just the dry stuff) to help keep this cake flavorful and moist. (We also use pudding mix in other cakes, like Tres Leches Layered Cake, Easter Confetti Cake, and Southern Banana Pudding Cake).
Vegetable oil- You can use vegetable oil, canola oil, or even melted butter. It will help to add the necessary fats to the cake and keep it moist.
Cinnamon- For a nice and warm spiced flavor, as you'd expect from a coffee cake.

🍰 How to Grease Your Bundt Pan
Greasing and Dusting: Before using your bundt cake pan, grease it with cooking spray or butter and lightly dust with flour for easy cake release.
Mess-Free Technique: Shake a few tablespoons of flour in the pan over the sink, tapping out excess flour. This keeps your kitchen clean and ensures effortless cleanup.
Alternative Option: For chocolate cakes, use cocoa powder instead of flour to prevent sticking without leaving white splotches. Alternatively, consider using cooking spray with flour for convenience.
🍴 Recipe Tips
- Cake Mix Brands: Any brand of cake mix works well for this recipe, including Duncan Hines, Betty Crocker, or store brands. Opt for your favorite brand, as the coffee cake flavor remains delicious with any choice.
- Pudding Selection: Ensure you only use the dry instant pudding mix from the package. Avoid using the cook and serve variety. Double-check that the pudding is instant before incorporating it into the recipe.
