I used Walmart Great Value devil's food cake mix and added some strong coffee… They came out perfectly in 20 minutes-more cakey than fudgy, very nice and so easy. Next time I may add chocolate chips, but I'll definitely be making these again!"

💰 Budget-Friendly Tips
Use boxed mix deals. Cake mixes frequently go on sale for under a dollar, making this a very low-cost dessert when you stock up.
Minimal add-ins. Just eggs and oil are needed, no extra butter, milk, or specialty ingredients required.
Skip the mix-ins. Chocolate chips are optional, so you can leave them out to keep costs down or add them only if you already have some on hand.
Swap flavors based on sales. Any standard cake mix works, so choose whatever flavor is cheapest that week.

Rating this a five for simplicity and ease of making, and great results. I made these using Walmart Great Value devil's food cake mix. I added a couple glugs of cold, brewed strong coffee (because I add that to all my brownies) and I made them in a cooking-sprayed muffin tin. They came out perfectly done in 20 minutes, more of a cakey than fudgey brownie, very very nice especially since it was so easy. When I do this again I may add some chocolate chips if I have them, but I will definitely be making these over and over.
