Spring brings with it the charm of Easter decorations featuring bunnies and chicks. But why limit the celebration? These easy Easter bunny biscuits are not only delightful to behold but also incredibly tasty. Pair them with Easter Egg Hot Chocolate for a festive treat!

While my favorite will always be the 3 ingredient buttermilk biscuits, these come in a close second due to their simplicity. Transforming flaky canned biscuits into adorable Easter bunny faces adds a touch of whimsy to the holiday.

These treats are not just cute but also a delicious addition to your Easter brunch or dessert spread. With minimal effort, you can turn ordinary biscuit dough into bunny faces that will bring joy to everyone.

While we offer various homemade biscuit recipes like Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits, Baking Powder Biscuits, and this Big Fluffy Scones Recipe, canned biscuits offer convenience that's hard to beat when you're short on time.

💛 Why You'll Love This Recipe

  1. Minimal ingredients and effort. No butter, no baking powder, no long list of ingredients, and dirty measuring spoons.
  2. They're really frugal to make. Celebrate Easter On A Budget with these affordable biscuits!
  3. They make adorable breakfast treats. Serve yours up fresh with a delicious breakfast meal that's sure to please bellies at the table.

🛒 Ingredients

the ingredients needed to make easter bunny biscuits.

Canned biscuits. Use an even number to form the bunny heads and ears. If you have extras, try Air Fryer Canned Biscuits or Air Fryer Biscuit Donuts.

M&Ms. Red M&Ms make perfect bunny noses, but any color works for a fun twist. You can also save extras as toppings for Cinnamon Streusel Dessert Pizza.

Chocolate chips. Used to create the bunny eyes.

Almond slivers. Make adorable whiskers and add a little crunch.

See the recipe card below for full ingredients and instructions.

💰 Budget-Friendly Tips

Use store brand biscuits: Generic canned biscuits work just as well and usually cost less.

Swap decorations: Use whatever candy or nuts you already have on hand to avoid buying extras.

Make it stretch: Fewer candies per bunny still look cute and keep costs down.

🥄 Instructions for Easy Easter Bunny Biscuits

4 whole biscuits on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Step 1: Open your can of biscuits and separate them so that they are no longer stuck together. Set half of them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, evenly spaced. Set aside.

👩🏻‍🍳 Expert Tips

  1. Use any biscuits. Store brand, small, or butter flavored all work. We prefer Grands Flaky Layers, but use what you like.
  2. Count your biscuits. You need an even number to make the bunny heads and ears. For example, two cans of five biscuits make five bunnies.
  3. Follow the can directions. Baking time and temperature vary by brand. Use the instructions on your biscuit package to ensure they bake through properly.

❄️ Storage and Make Ahead

Storage: Store Easy Easter Bunny Biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. Lay them flat so the ears stay in place.

Make Ahead: Assemble the bunnies a few hours in advance and bake just before serving for best texture.

🥗 Side Dishes or Pairing Ideas

Serve Easy Easter Bunny Biscuits with fresh fruit, yogurt, or a glass of milk. These also pair well with scrambled eggs or breakfast casseroles for a fun holiday breakfast.

❓ Recipe FAQs

Can I make biscuit bunnies with veggies?

Yes, you can use veggies like shredded carrots for the whiskers, diced mushrooms for the nose, black sliced olives for the eyes. These are just some examples though and you can really get creative with whatever you want including broccoli florets and cherry tomatoes.

How long are rabbit biscuits good for?

These biscuits are best when enjoyed fresh and hot out of the oven but you can easily get them to last 2-3 days in an airtight container at room temperature. I recommend laying them in a flat container to keep the ears from falling off.

What to serve with biscuit bunnies

These bunnies would be great as-is for a simple snack but you can also add some chocolate gravy over the top for a sweeter mealtime experience. Serve them up as a dessert or breakfast and I'm sure there will be no complaints.
