We simply adore milkshakes all year long, and when you live in Florida, you can too, haha. The year-round warm weather gives plenty of opportunities to enjoy chilled chilled drinks.
This fruity pebbles milkshake is one of our cereal-infused drinks, like our Fruit Loop Milkshake and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake. With your favorite breakfast cereal turned into a drink, you can enjoy something sweet all day long.
I often find myself with random amounts of cereal as we get towards the end of the bag. Not enough for a bowl of cereal, but still enough to do something with. Turning cereal into a fun treat like milkshake or cookies (like my Lucky Charms Cookies or Captain Crunch Cookies) is another way to make leftovers more fun!

🍯 Why This Recipe Works
- Minimal ingredients. With just three simple ingredients, you won't need much to make your own milkshakes at home. Minimal shopping, maximum flavor.
- It's simple. Nothing can be simpler than making a milkshake. Just add everything to a blender and push a button. Easy and ready in just seconds.
- Perfect for leftover cereal. Whether you have a small amount of cereal left in the box or the box was pushed to the back of the pantry and went unnoticed (see: How a Messy Pantry Costs You Money), this recipe is perfect for participating in a Clean Out the Pantry Challenge, also known as a no spend challenge.

Ingredient Notes:
Fruity Pebbles- To make this cereal milkshake, you'll need some cereal so make sure to have some on hand! If you still have some leftovers after this, try making Fruity Pebbles Banana Bread or Fruity Pebbles Treats. If you only have a small amount you could probably do a fun fruity variation on this Rice Krispie Treat in a Mug.

🧾 Substitutions
Milk. If you want, you can use nondairy milk, low fat milk, or even half and half instead.
Ice cream. If you don't have vanilla ice cream you can use dairy free ice cream (like coconut based ice cream) or even vanilla frozen yogurt. I often use vanilla frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.

🍴 Recipe Tips
- Consistency. You can adjust the consistency of this milkshake to your own liking by adding in more ice cream (if you want it thicker) or more milk (if you want it thinner).
- Offbrand is okay! Also, don't feel obligated to stick with the name brand versions of cereal. Offbrand cereal works just as great in this milkshake.
👩🏻🍳 Scaling
You can double or triple this Fruity Pebbles milkshake recipe as needed (assuming you can fit that much in your blender). This recipe only makes enough for one tall glass, so if you're looking to make enough for a family, doubling or tripling will cut down on a lot of time by just blending it all together.
💭 Recipe FAQs
Yes, absolutely! The best part about making your own milkshakes at home is getting creative. Try this recipe with some chocolate ice cream, strawberry ice cream, or a fruity sherbet. You can even make this recipe without ice cream! Just add some cereal to these Milkshakes Without Ice Cream.
Nope! Swap out the cereal for any other cereal variety and it should still taste incredible. Post Chocolate Pebbles cereal would be my next go-to idea for a rich chocolate shake.
No, unfortunately. Milkshakes are best served immediately after being made. The ice cream will melt and cause the drink to soften as time goes on so the drink becomes thinner and less desirable than when it was fresh.
