💛 Why You'll Love This Recipe
- It's easy to make. You don't need a lot of coffee-making experience to pull this recipe together. With these easy-to-follow steps, you can have a "fancy" coffee drink with minimal effort. It's less involved than our Oreo Iced Coffee Recipe, but equally as delicious.
- Simple ingredients. If you have coffee, cereal, and whipped cream, you're already halfway there. This recipe requires very little to pull together a fun drink experience.
- Cheaper than going to a coffee shop. While there's nothing wrong with Starbucks and other coffee shops, you have to admit the cost of a simple coffee is often extreme. Making your own brew at home is far cheaper. And once you've got the hang of it you'll never need to wait in line for a Peppermint Iced Coffee or Vanilla Iced Latte again.
🛒 Ingredients

Cinnamon simple syrup- You will make your own Microwave Simple Syrup using cinnamon, water, and sugar. You will need some of the cinnamon syrup that you make, but you will not need to use all of it. This means you can have some on hand for your next coffee drink or two.
Coffee- You will need some freshly brewed or chilled coffee. Chilled coffee works best for an iced coffee variation, but warm coffee can be used for either.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch- Adding cereal pieces to the top of this drink makes it look fun and helps to highlight the cinnamon flavors we have going on inside our mug. If you still have cereal left over, try our Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake!

💰 Budget-Friendly Tips
Use store-brand cereal: Cinnamon Toast Crunch-style cereals are much cheaper in generic brands and taste nearly identical, especially when used as a garnish.
Brew extra coffee: Make a larger pot in the morning and chill leftovers for iced lattes throughout the week, no wasted coffee.
Skip the whipped cream: Leaving off the topping cuts the cost per serving and still gives you great cinnamon flavor.

👩🏻🍳 Expert Tips
- Increasing servings. This cinnamon latte recipe is perfect for making a single cup at a time, but feel free to double or even triple it as needed.
- More or less milk. You can adjust the milk to coffee ratio if desired. I like my coffee to milk at 2:1 in my drinks, but a traditional latte is actually 1:3 espresso to milk. So depending on the strength of your coffee, you may wish to add less coffee and use more milk.
- My coffee of choice. I use regular Colombian or Arabica medium roast brewed coffee. I don't use espresso.
❄️ Storage
This latte is best enjoyed fresh, but the cinnamon simple syrup can be made ahead and kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
If prepping for iced versions, brew and chill coffee in advance and assemble the drink just before serving.
🥗 Side Dishes or Pairing Ideas
Pair this latte with a simple breakfast like toast, fruit, or a bowl of cereal for a cozy morning. It also goes great with muffins, bagels, or any sweet treat like cinnamon rolls or coffee cake. For fall vibes, try serving it with pumpkin bread, apple muffins, or a warm pastry.

❓ Recipe FAQs
Whole dairy milk will yield better results because it has more fat than other kinds of milk. It will help to hide the bitterness of the coffee and give a better texture than a lesser-fat milk or milk alternative.
If you want to froth your milk and don't have the tools to do it, simply add the milk to a small saucepan and heat it until simmering. Whisk the milk like crazy to create bubbles and foam. Use as desired.
If you find that your drink is bitter, you can add in more milk to help counter the bitterness. Milks with a higher fat percentage will cut dow more bitterness than low fat options.
