We simply adore milkshakes all year long, and when you live in Florida, you can too, haha. The year-round warm weather gives plenty of opportunities to enjoy chilled chilled drinks.
This fruity pebbles milkshake is one of our cereal-infused drinks, like our Fruit Loop Milkshake and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake. With your favorite breakfast cereal turned into a drink, you can enjoy something sweet all day long.
I often find myself with random amounts of cereal as we get towards the end of the bag. Not enough for a bowl of cereal, but still enough to do something with.
Turning cereal into a fun treat like milkshake or cookies (like my Lucky Charms Cookies or Captain Crunch Cookies) is another way to make leftovers more fun!

🔀 Substitutions & Variations
Milk. If you want, you can use nondairy milk, low fat milk, or even half and half instead.
Ice cream. If you don't have vanilla ice cream you can use dairy free ice cream (like coconut based ice cream) or even vanilla frozen yogurt. I often use vanilla frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.
💰 Budget-Friendly Tips
Use leftover cereal. This recipe is perfect for using up the last cup or two at the bottom of the box, no waste and no extra cost.
Choose off-brand cereal. Store-brand Fruity Pebbles taste the same in a blended milkshake and cost less.
Make multiple servings at once. Doubling or tripling the recipe saves time and reduces blender usage, which can help stretch ingredients more efficiently.

👩🏻🍳 Expert Tips
- Consistency. You can adjust the consistency of this milkshake to your own liking by adding in more ice cream (if you want it thicker) or more milk (if you want it thinner).
- Off-brand is okay! Also, don't feel obligated to stick with the name brand versions of cereal. Off-brand cereal works just as great in this milkshake.
❄️ Storage and Make Ahead
Storage: Milkshakes don't store well, as they melt and separate quickly. For best results, enjoy immediately after blending.
Make Ahead: You can pre-measure the cereal, milk, and ice cream into separate containers and freeze the ice cream portion. When ready, dump everything into the blender and mix. Your shake will be ready in seconds.

❓ Fruity Pebbles Milkshake FAQs
Yes, absolutely! The best part about making your own milkshakes at home is getting creative. Try this recipe with some chocolate ice cream, strawberry ice cream, or a fruity sherbet. You can even make this recipe without ice cream! Just add some cereal to these Milkshakes Without Ice Cream.
Nope! Swap out the cereal for any other cereal variety and it should still taste incredible. Post Chocolate Pebbles cereal would be my next go-to idea for a rich chocolate shake.
No, unfortunately. Milkshakes are best served immediately after being made. The ice cream will melt and cause the drink to soften as time goes on so the drink becomes thinner and less desirable than when it was fresh.
