🥘 Ingredients
Ingredient Notes:
Canned corn- You will want to use a can of whole kernel corn for this recipe. I often look for the low sodium or no salt added variety but feel free to use your favorite. If you still have corn leftover, try our other Easy Canned Corn Recipe.
Seasonings- Using seasonings like salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika really helps to make this corn look and taste incredible.

🧾 Substitutions
Paprika. You can use regular paprika for this recipe or (my personal favorite) smoked paprika. Both taste incredible and give a nice touch of color to the corn.
Canned corn. If you don't have or do not wish to use canned corn, you can replace the 15 ounce can of corn with a 16 ounce sized bag of frozen corn instead. No thawing is needed.
🔪 Instructions for Air Fryer Canned Corn
Step 1: First, find an oven safe baking dish that can fit within your air fryer. I used an 8 inch cake pan and had plenty of space in my 8 quart air fryer, but you may need to use a different pan depending on what size your air fryer is.
Step 2: Open your corn, drain, and rinse before adding to an 8 inch cake pan.
Step 3: Add the seasonings.
Step 4: Mix well to combine.
Step 5: Top with pads of butter.
Step 6: Air fry at 400F for 8 minutes.
Step 7: Remove from air fryer. Mix and top with fresh parsley (if using).
Serve warm.
🍴 Recipe Tips
Sodium Reduction:
- Check Labels. When aiming to cut sodium, carefully inspect canned veggie labels at the store. Some brands, particularly those labeled "organic," may contain higher sodium levels.
- Rinse Corn. Draining and rinsing canned corn with water can help remove excess sodium, as most of it is in the liquid.
🍳 Reheating
You can reheat this corn in a skillet on the stove over medium heat or simply place a serving or two of it on a plate and microwave for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
👩🏻🍳 Storage
Leftover cooked corn will last up to 4 days in the fridge in an airtight container. Reheat again before serving.
💭 Recipe FAQs
Corn is a great source of many vitamins and nutrients, as well as fiber. Canned veggies are just as healthy as fresh or frozen because canning helps to preserve a lot of the nutrients. Not only that, but they're shelf stable and affordable too!
According to research published by the USDA, rinsing canned vegetables can remove up to 9%-23% of the added sodium in the can. Other nutrients decreased a little as well, but not in significant amounts.
Canned corn is technically already cooked and could be cooked directly from the can if desired, but heating it always makes it taste better. Cook this corn until it is fully heated and there is no more liquid in the pan.
Yes, but remove the corn from the can and make sure that it is in a container that will prevent any liquid from spilling around. A cake pan, bread loaf pan, or square pan may fit in your air fryer, depending on the size and model.
