    🍯 Why This Recipe Works

    1. Simple ingredients. This recipe uses basic pantry staple ingredients like flour, baking powder, sugar, and milk in combination with fresh strawberries and peaches.
    2. Easy to follow instructions. The steps for making this recipe are very simple and easy to follow. We just whisk ingredients in bowls, melt butter, and layer ingredients in a baking dish.
    3. Fresh or frozen fruits. This recipe is perfect for using fresh in-season produce but you can just as easily swap them out for frozen peaches and strawberries if desired! Perfect for any time of the year.

    🥘 Ingredients

ingredients needed to make strawberry peach cobbler.

    Ingredient Notes:

Butter- You will need to use butter to get the richness in the topping just right. You can use salted or unsalted butter, depending on what you have on hand.

Sugars- Using both granulated sugar as well as brown sugar will help us to get a sweet cobbler with chewy edges and great depth of flavor.

Baking powder- Use baking powder as a leavening agent so that the cobbler topping can rise as it bakes.

Peaches- Fresh peaches are needed for the filling. See notes below if using frozen. If you still have peaches on hand, be sure to check out our Peaches and Cream Bundt Cake.

Strawberries- You'll want to use fresh strawberries for the filling, but frozen is okay too. See the notes below about using frozen berries.

For specific ingredients and measurements, please see the recipe card below.

    📖 Variations

Frozen fruits. If you don't have fresh strawberries or fresh peaches on hand, you can make this recipe using frozen peaches and strawberries. If using frozen, you will need 2 cups of each. You do not need to thaw the fruit beforehand.

    🍴 Recipe Tips

    How to peel peaches:

    1. Set a pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil.
    2. Using a slotted spoon, place one whole peach into the pot.
    3. Carefully add a few more peaches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot.
    4. After about 30 seconds to one minute, remove the peaches with the slotted spoon.
    5. Immediately transfer the peaches to a large bowl of ice-cold water.
    6. The peach skin should peel off easily when you grip a peach between your hands and run your thumbs over it in opposite directions.

    💭 Recipe FAQs

    Can peach cobbler be reheated?

You can reheat your cobbler in an oven at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes or until warmed through or you can reheat a single serving on a plate in the microwave for about 1-3 minutes.

    Can you freeze peach cobbler?

Yes, you can freeze the cobbler after it has been baked and cooled completely. To do this I recommend baking it in a disposable pan because it makes life a little easier. After it has been cooled, wrap well in foil and plastic wrap and then freeze for up to 3 months. Note that the topping may become soggy as it thaws.

How long can peach cobbler sit out?

It can sit out for several hours on the same day that it was made but after it has cooled down completely, you have about 2 hours at room temp before it should be stored in the fridge. Once in the fridge, it can last up to 5 days. Only let it sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours at a time as needed when serving.
