Instructions
Sweeten coffee.
Add sugar to the bottom of a tall glass. Pour in coffee and stir until the sugar dissolves. Stir in peppermint extract.
Add ice.
Fill the glass with ice, leaving about 1 ½ to 2 inches of space at the top.
Add milk.
Pour in milk and stir well to combine.
Finish.
Top with whipped cream if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
Flavor Variations.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla for extra depth. Turn it into an iced peppermint mocha with cocoa powder or chocolate syrup.
Dairy-Free.
Almond or oat milk works well. Coconut whipped cream makes a great topping.
Caffeine Boost.
Swap brewed coffee for 1 to 2 shots of espresso or add an extra shot.
Taste Adjustment.
Adjust sweetness, milk, or peppermint to taste. Use peppermint extract sparingly, as a little goes a long way.
