These Mini Pigs in a Blanket are a fun appetizer that's easy to make and only takes 2 ingredients. These crescent-wrapped smokies are always a huge hit with kids and adults.
Prep. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with cooking spray.
Prepare crescents. Separate the crescent roll dough and lay the triangles flat. Using a pizza cutter, slice each triangle lengthwise from tip to base to create two thinner triangles.
Assemble. Place one cocktail weenie at the wide end of each crescent strip. Roll the dough up and around the weenie until fully enclosed.
Bake. Arrange the wrapped smokies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Cool. Let rest on the pan for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Efficiency. This recipe is simple but time-consuming; extra hands help speed up rolling.
Make ahead. Assemble and refrigerate on a baking sheet, covered, for up to 2 hours before baking.
Storage. Store baked smokies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freezing. Freeze before or after baking for up to 3 months. If freezing unbaked, freeze flat first, then transfer to a container and bake from frozen at 400°F for about 25 minutes.
