Green beans don't have to be boring. With this simple seasoning combination and your Instant Pot, steamed fresh green beans are just moments away. You'll look forward to seeing these greens on your plate!
Prepare the green beans. Wash the green beans and trim off the ends. Break longer beans in half if needed so they fit comfortably in the Instant Pot.
Add the water. Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot liner. If using an 8-quart Instant Pot, use 1 ½ cups. Add a steamer basket or trivet if using.
Load the beans. Place the green beans into the Instant Pot or steamer basket.
Pressure cook. Set the Instant Pot to High Pressure and cook for 1 minute.
Release pressure. Perform a quick release, then carefully open the lid.
Season. Remove the green beans and transfer them to a mixing bowl, or drain the liquid and season directly in the pot. Add the olive oil, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper, then toss gently to coat.
Serve. Serve warm.
Notes

Reheating and freezing. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Freeze cooled green beans in an airtight container for up to 12 months, with best quality when used sooner.
