French Toast with Frozen Waffles uses your favorite waffles to make French toast in a wonderful new way. Combining French toast flavors with buttery toaster waffles makes every bite worth savoring.
Warm waffles. Heat the frozen waffles on a microwave-safe plate for 30 seconds to 1 minute, just until softened and no longer frozen.
Mix custard. In a shallow bowl or pie plate, whisk together the eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Preheat skillet. Heat a skillet over medium heat until a few drops of water sizzle. Lightly grease the pan once hot.
Dip waffles. Dip each waffle into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
Cook. Place the waffle in the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side, until golden brown. The edges should look crisp and the egg fully cooked, even if the waffle pockets appear slightly softer.
Repeat and serve. Continue until all waffles are cooked. Serve warm with butter and syrup.

Notes
Waffle prep. Waffles must be thawed before dipping. A toaster works just as well as the microwave.
Brands. Any frozen waffle brand works, not just Eggo.
Flavor swaps. Try flavored waffles like blueberry, chocolate chip, or cinnamon for variety.
