Instructions
Make syrup.
Add water and sugar to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave 1 to 2 minutes until sugar dissolves. Stir in cinnamon until fully combined.
Build latte.
Add 2 tablespoons cinnamon simple syrup to a mug. Pour in brewed coffee, then add milk and stir gently to combine.
Finish.
Top with whipped cream and crushed cereal if using. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
Scaling.
This recipe is perfect for single servings and easily doubles or triples.
Milk Ratio.
Adjust milk to taste. A 2:1 coffee-to-milk ratio works well.
Coffee Choice.
Regular brewed medium-roast coffee works great. No espresso required.
Make Ahead.
Store cinnamon simple syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
