Chocolate drizzled popcorn is sweet and savory popcorn covered in two types of chocolate. Perfect for late-night movie snacks and a sweet afternoon treat.
Prepare. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
Pop. Pop the popcorn according to package directions, remove any unpopped kernels, and spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
Melt semi sweet chocolate. Add the semi sweet chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth, about 1 minute, then drizzle over the popcorn in stripes.
Melt white chocolate. Add the white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth, about 1 minute, then drizzle over the popcorn.
Set and serve. Let rest until the chocolate has fully set, break into pieces, and serve.
Notes
Substitutions. Any popcorn variety works, including buttery, plain, salty, or kettle corn.
Variations. Use milk or dark chocolate, or stick to one chocolate instead of two.
Recipe Tips. Use a large bowl if popping multiple bags. If chocolate thickens, stir in ½ teaspoon shortening or coconut oil.
Storage. Best enjoyed fresh, as storage may cause the popcorn to soften.
