A super simple and easy recipe that will have everyone begging for more. With just 2 ingredients and a few minutes you can give popcorn an upgrade and enjoy it in a new way.
Pop the Popcorn: Prepare the popcorn according to package directions. Remove and discard any unpopped kernels.
Melt the Chocolate: In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the almond bark in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Chocolate may also be melted on the stovetop if preferred.
Coat the Popcorn: Place the popcorn in a large bowl. Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and gently toss until evenly coated.
Cool & Serve: Allow the popcorn to cool until the chocolate has set, or serve immediately for a softer coating.
Notes
Scaling: This recipe scales easily. Maintain a 1 to 1 ratio of popcorn to almond bark when doubling or tripling.
Almond Bark Size: One bar refers to a single segmented square of almond bark.
Mess Factor: Mixing is easiest with large spoons or lightly cooled hands. The coating firms up as the chocolate sets.
Popcorn Options: Buttery or lightly salted popcorn creates a great sweet and salty balance. Plain, kettle corn, or unsalted popcorn also work well.
Storage: Store in an airtight container for several days.
Add Ins: Sprinkles, chocolate chips, pretzels, or crushed cookies can be added before the chocolate sets.
