Check out this air fryer turkey club sandwich- it puts other sandwiches to shame. Packed with crisp cold lettuce and tomatoes, melty cheese, and warm deli meat between toasted slices of bread.
Prep Bread. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
First Toast. Place the bread slices mayo side up in the air fryer basket. Secure with a small trivet if needed. Air fry at 360°F for 3 minutes.
Assemble Hot Layer. Remove the bread and spread mayonnaise on the untoasted sides. Place the cheese on one slice and the turkey and ham on the other.
Melt. Return both halves to the air fryer and cook at 360°F for 2 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt and the meat is warmed.
Finish. Remove from the air fryer and top with lettuce and tomato. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper. Press the sandwich halves together and serve.
Notes
Cheese Options. Cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or Muenster all work well.
No Preheat Needed. The air fryer does not need to be preheated.
Mayo Swap. Butter can be used in place of mayonnaise if preferred.
Air Flow Tip. Bread can move due to circulating air. Use a trivet or extend cooking time slightly for extra toasting.
Doneness. Make sure the bread is toasted to your liking before removing, as it will not darken further after cooking.
