Instructions
Prep.
Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
Trim the asparagus.
Wash the asparagus and trim off the woody ends.
Season.
Arrange the asparagus on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, then add the garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.
Roast.
Bake for 15 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
Finish.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with Parmesan, and broil for about 1 minute, just until the cheese melts.
Serve.
Serve warm.
Notes
Cleaning tip.
Rinse asparagus under cool water and gently rub the tips to remove any grit.
Trimming tip.
Bend a spear until it snaps naturally to remove the woody end.
Cheese timing.
Add Parmesan at the end to prevent burning.
