Packed with cookies and white chocolate, these Oreo rice Krispie treats are unlike any other. A wonderful experience in every square, these are one treat you won't want to share.
Prep pan. Grease an 8x8 baking dish for thick treats or a 9x13 dish for standard thickness and set aside.
Melt base. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until nearly melted.
Add chocolate. Stir in the white chocolate chips and cook until fully melted, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Add cereal. Mix in the chopped Oreos and Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
Press. Transfer the mixture to the prepared dish and gently press into an even layer using a greased spatula.
Melt topping. Microwave the white chocolate chips in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Decorate. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top and sprinkle with the remaining chopped Oreos.
Set and serve. Let rest for about 1 hour until set, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Recipe Tips. Grease the pan, spatula, and hands to prevent sticking. Melt over medium low heat for soft, gooey treats. Lining the pan with parchment makes removal easier. Butter may be replaced with margarine or coconut oil, noting coconut oil adds flavor.
Storage. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Freeze airtight or wrapped individually for longer storage and thaw at room temperature.
