Air fryer corn on the cob is the best way to get juicy, flavorful results out of ordinary veggies. Covered in seasoning, butter, or oil, and fried until plump or slightly charred around the edges, this corn tastes like it came off the grill, and it only takes 8 minutes to cook.
Preheat air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 to 5 minutes while preparing the corn.
Prep corn. Remove husks and rinse the corn, removing as much silk as possible. If needed, cut the corn in half or into smaller pieces so it fits comfortably in the air fryer basket.
Season. Brush each ear lightly with olive oil or melted butter. Season with salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning, if using.
Arrange. Place the corn in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook. Air fry at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Turning halfway through is optional; the corn cooks evenly either way.
Check doneness. The kernels should be tender and lightly browned. For more caramelization, cook an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve. Serve immediately with extra butter or your favorite toppings.
Notes
Fresh vs. Frozen Corn: Fresh corn cooks in about 8 minutes, while frozen cobs take closer to 15 minutes. No need to thaw first.
Cutting Corn: If your cobs don’t fit in the air fryer basket, simply cut them in half or into smaller chunks before cooking.
Charred Flavor: For more of a “grilled” taste, cook 1–2 minutes longer until slightly caramelized.
Reheating Tip: Pop leftovers back in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes for that just-cooked taste.
