Instructions
Wash your green beans and trim off the ends.
Place one cup of water into the Instant Pot, or if using an 8 qt Instant Pot, use 1.5 cups of water.
Place the green beans in a steamer basket or on the trivet and lower into Instant Pot.
Cook on High Pressure for 1 minute.
Quick release the pressure within the Instant Pot and carefully remove the green beans.
Drain liquid inside liner and return liner to pot.
Set to Saute for 3 minutes and add in the olive oil and seasonings. Stir to mix. You will not need the full 3 minutes.
Toss in the green beans and stir to combine.
Remove green beans, turn off Instant Pot, and serve warm.
Notes
Adjust cooking time for green bean texture: 0 minutes for firmer, 2 minutes for softer, and 3 minutes for very soft beans.
Use an Instant Pot steamer basket, trivet, or place beans in the water for steaming.
Water quantity varies with Instant Pot size: 1 cup for 6-quart, 1.5 cups for 8-quart.
Store green beans in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Freeze cooled green beans in an airtight container for up to 12 months, for best quality consume them sooner.
