These air fryer mini pizzas are a tasty snack or easy lunch option that only takes about 5 minutes for prep and cook time per batch, making it a quicker option and one that tastes great too!
Open the canned biscuits and separate them from one another. Split each biscuit in half so that it is two layers.
Press each biscuit out into a circle almost 4 inches wide in size.
Top each pizza dough with about 2 teaspoons of sauce.
Add your pepperoni and toppings to the top of the sauce.
Top your pizzas with some shredded cheese.
Use a pastry brush to brush olive oil inside of your air fryer basket to grease it.
Place two to 4 of the pizzas into the basket. How many you fit will depend upon the size of your air fryer. You do not want them touching. If possible give them an inch of space between each.
Cook at 400 degrees F for 4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from basket and place onto a serving plate. Allow to cool for about 1-2 minutes before serving.
Repeat with the remaining pizzas. Assemble, cook, cool, serve.
Notes
Cheese goes LAST. This is because the cheese will hold down the toppings to prevent them from flying off of the pizza as it cooks and making a mess in your air fryer.Do not overdo it on the toppings. Less is more and it's less messy too. Make toppings smaller in size. You want them all to be small pieces that are relatively the same size so that they can cook more evenly.Preheating helps. If you do not preheat your air fryer you may need to add an extra minute or two to the bake time. You do not want the center of these pizzas to be doughy because that means that they are undercooked.Don't press the dough too thin. If you roll the pizza dough too thin you may have trouble placing it into the air fryer.Storage. You can keep the cooled and uneaten pizzas stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat again before serving or eat them cold if you prefer.Reheating. Place the cold pizzas on your air fryer rack and cook at 350 degrees F for 2 minutes until heated through.Type of canned biscuits to use. I recommend using the Grands flaky biscuits but even the off-brand versions of it (store-brand versions like Aldi) will work just fine. I've even used the ones with the bits of butter in the dough and it all tastes pretty great as a biscuit pizza.
