You've never had a french toast recipe like this before. It's fluffy, well-spiced, sweet, and absolutely perfect. Best part? You don't need stale bread, so just grab a loaf of sourdough and get started!

Instructions
In a pie plate whisk together the flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add in the milk, vanilla, and eggs, mix well.
Preheat your skillet or griddle to medium-high heat (about 350 degrees F).
Place your butter in the pan and let melt.
Dip the bread and flip it to coat the other side.
Cook the bread for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Serve with fresh fruits and maple syrup.
Notes
You don't need stale bread for sourdough; it's thick and great fresh.
Adding flour to the batter makes French toast extra fluffy and helps it coat the bread well.
