¾ cup warm water 1 teaspoon active dry yeast 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon sugar ¾ teaspoon salt 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
In a large glass bowl combine your warm water (110 degrees F) and your yeast.
Let rest for a minute or two until it looks foamy. If it doesn't foam up within 5 minutes your yeast could be bad or the water may have been too hot or cold. This will result in chewier pizza dough.
Add the flour, sugar, salt, and olive oil to the bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until it comes together. It will look shaggy.
Lightly sprinkle a counter and knead the dough. Incorporate the pieces that didn't originally want to stick and knead the dough until it's no longer sticking to your hands and the counter, feeding it more flour as needed.
Place the dough back into the bowl and let it rest in a warm spot for 5 minutes.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface and shape into a pizza with crust. Place on baking sheet.
Top with sauce and toppings as desired.
Bake at 500 degrees F for 10 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
