Oven-roasted frozen cauliflower is a delicious side dish worthy of any meal. It's got a nice crispness, softness, flavor, and appearance making it perfect to sit next to your chicken, meatloaf, or pasta dishes.

roasted frozen cauliflower on a baking dish with seasonings

Cooking frozen cauliflower in the oven is my favorite way to do it. In the microwave steamer bags the end results are usually hit or miss and flavorless but on a baking sheet I can cook it on the rack next to my main dish and have them finished at the same time and both full of flavor.

We love eating oven roasted frozen cauliflower so much that we eat it about once a week following the recipe below. The chicken broth adds a great flavor to the baked frozen cauliflower as it cooks but of course, using vegetable broth would work too if you're wanting to skip the meat products.

    🍴 Recipe Tips

This cauliflower can be cooked slower at 350 degrees or a little faster at 450 degrees. This gives you a perfect chance to cook it alongside your other oven-baked dishes without needing to extend the wait time and drag dinner out a little longer.

Everything for this recipe is tossed together on a baking sheet so there is no need to dirty extra dishes. While the pan will be fairly simple and easy to clean, laying parchment paper or foil down will greatly help in reducing the cleanup.

Also, it's worth noting that you do not need to thaw the cauliflower beforehand. Just open a bag of frozen veggies and toss them on the pan while still frozen. Maybe break up a few chunks if they're too large but other than that, this recipe is super simple!

    💭 FAQs

Can I make a large batch of roasted frozen cauliflower?

Absolutely! We like to double the recipe below because we just can't seem to get enough of it. I mean how often do you get kids to WANT to eat extra veggies? Doubling or tripling the recipe will not increase bake time as long as the cauliflower is nicely spaced out and not piled up too much.

How long is leftover roasted cauliflower good for?

You can keep the leftover cooked frozen cauliflower in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just reheat before eating.

    🔪 Instructions

Check out how to make roasted frozen cauliflower with these simple step-by-step instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F or 450 degrees F and grease a baking sheet.
    2. Open the bag of frozen cauliflower and place them onto the sheet.
    3. Drizzle the olive oil over the cauliflower and then follow it up by sprinkling the spices over the top. Drizzle the chicken broth as well.
    4. Use clean hands to toss the veggies around in the mixture until all veggies are well coated.
    5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 450F or for 35 minutes at 350F.
    6. Remove from oven and serve warm with your meal.
