Check out this Oreo popcorn recipe and see what cookies and cream flavored bliss you've been missing out on. Made with America's favorite cookie and a household treat like buttery popcorn, this is one snack everyone can agree on!

We really do enjoy Oreo flavored recipes around here, but that's most likely because we always have Oreos on hand. I'm pretty sure my 4 year old would live off of them and PBJs if given the chance.
Me, on the other hand, well, I just like to turn them into new things- like this popcorn recipe. I've made several popcorn recipes around here, but this one is one of my favorites for so many reasons.
Why This Recipe Works
- It's simple! With minimal ingredients and steps this recipe is perfect for any occasion and packed with so much great taste. We literally only need 3 ingredients to pull it together!
- Chocolate! This recipe is full of rich flavor and deliciousness in every bite, from the white chocolate almond bark to the chocolate cookies. The contrast with the salty buttery popcorn also makes it an ideal snack.
- It's a great twist for movie night. Why serve up boring popcorn when an extra minute or two in the kitchen can yield a tastier treat to snack on next time you sit down to binge watch tv or enjoy a new film.

🥘 Ingredients
Popcorn- You can use any popped popcorn for this recipe. We prefer the "movie theater butter" flavored popcorn, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand or enjoy.
Oreo cookies- Name brand or off-brand won't matter because all we want is that chocolate cookie and cream flavor.
Almond Bark- You can use almond bark or melted white chocolate chips (about ½ cup) to make this popcorn recipe. The melted chocolate is what helps to hold the cookies to the popcorn.

🔪 Instructions
Check out how to make Oreo popcorn with these simple step-by-step instructions:
Pop the popcorn and lay it out on a parchment paper or wax paper-lined baking sheet. Remove unpopped kernels if desired.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt your almond bark in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. This will take about 1-2 minutes.
Pour the white chocolate over the popcorn and toss well to coat evenly.
Break your Oreo cookies into small pieces. I like to do this by placing them in a Ziploc bag and smacking them with a rolling pin.
Pour the oreo cookies over the top of the popcorn. Toss well to coat.
Let the popcorn rest for several minutes to cool and set.
Serve and enjoy.
🧾 Substitutions
Popcorn. You can use buttery, unflavored, salty, or kettle popcorn (any popcorn of choice) to get a different flavorful combination depending on what you want. I used Movie Theater Butter Flavored popcorn and was surprised by how well it worked with the Oreos.
📖 Variations
Oreos. Swap out the oreo cookies for differently flavored Oreos. There are a lot of different cookie flavor variations, and changing out the cookies can really change up the taste every time!
🍴 Recipe Tips
This popcorn recipe will be messy. There's no way around that. You can toss the melted white chocolate over the popcorn with your hands (after letting it cool down for a minute, so you don't burn yourself), or you can toss it together like a salad with large spoons.
Eating it as-is as soon as it's mixed is perfectly fine, but it will be messy. Making it and then giving the chocolate a chance to solidify is a better way to enjoy the popcorn without the sticky mess.
👩🏻🍳 Storage
Assuming you don't finish it all in one sitting, you can store leftovers of this easy popcorn recipe in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
