French toast kabobs are a fun or romantic way to enjoy your breakfast. French toast with fruit on a stick can be a great appetizer or dish. Serve it at a party or enjoy it at home with the family, there's no wrong way to do it.

French toast and fresh fruit have always been great together but serving them up this way is so much fun. My kids even ate the berries that they didn't like! Although, in retrospect, it could have been the maple syrup and powdered sugar that changed their minds, haha.
There are so many reasons that I love serving french toast this way.
It looks gorgeous. The scattered berries and the golden brown cinnamon french toast contrast against themselves nicely and it just looks so inviting to eat!
It's a frugal way to stretch the last of your bread. I bet you weren't expecting that reason, but it's true. If you have a family of 4 and only 4 slices of bread left in the bag, french toast wouldn't normally be on the menu. But because it's sliced into small squares you can really stretch what you have on hand and make it appear to be more filling.
It's a unique appetizer idea. Brunch themed parties are a pretty trendy thing right now, serving your guests breakfast kabobs like this can really make an impressive statement and it doesn't cost much to do!

🍴 Recipe Tips
You can make the french toast the day before and keep it stored in the fridge to limit your prep time in the morning. This french toast on a stick recipe is a great way to use up leftover french toast you might have too!
You might want to avoid bananas or other fruits that are known to turn brown as they sit out (like apples). This is strictly for appearance reasons of course, but you can do a lemon juice and water wash on any fruits that are prone to browning to avoid discoloring.
💭 FAQs
Berries like strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries are all great ideas. I recommend using fresh and not frozen berries for the best looking and tasting results. Frozen berries tend to get mushy when thawing.
Bacon, eggs, and sausage are all good ideas if you wanted to keep the brunch on a stick theme going, otherwise serving these skewers beside a bowl of vanilla yogurt also sounds like a refreshing idea.
