Making air fryer canned cinnamon rolls is a wonderful way to get a warm breakfast on the table more quickly. With no preheating and only one ingredient, this recipe is ideal for any occasion.

cinnamon rolls with icing on a plate next to air fryer

Once you learn how to make cinnamon rolls in the air fryer, you'll never go back to any other method again. It's so convenient, and the results are incredible.

Making canned cinnamon rolls in the air fryer will be your go-to method forever. That is, when you're not busy making Cinnamon Roll Waffles or Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread.

    Why This Recipe Works

    1. It's fast! You don't have to wait for the oven to preheat, and from start to finish you can have these cinnamon rolls on your plate and ready to eat in about 10 minutes flat. Perfect for a faster morning breakfast routine.
    2. Minimal ingredients. You literally only need a can of your favorite cinnamon rolls to make this recipe. If desired, you can have cooking spray to grease the air fryer, but if you have a can of rolls, you already have what you need.
    3. They taste perfect. While you'll no doubt love these rolls simply because you used your favorite brand, you'll also love that the outsides are perfectly golden and the insides are soft and fabulous.

can of cinnamon rolls in front of an air fryer

    🥘 Ingredients

Canned cinnamon rolls- Use your favorite canned cinnamon rolls for this recipe. We like to use Grands cinnamon rolls because they're delicious, but any brand will work well! Time may need to be adjusted for the smaller cinnamon rolls.

Cooking spray- This will help to prevent the rolls from sticking to the air fryer and is completely optional. I recommend olive oil and brushing it with a pastry brush for better coverage.

For specific quantities, see the recipe card below.

Check out how to make canned cinnamon rolls with these simple step-by-step instructions:

If desired, spray the inside basket of your air fryer with cooking spray or brush with olive oil to make it nonstick.

    🍴 Recipe Tips

    Brand differences

We like to make Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in the air fryer, but you can use any brand. Store brands and name brand cinnamon rolls all cook at about the same time. I do recommend checking on the rolls after 5 minutes and adjusting the cooking time from there.

    Preheating not required

You do not need to preheat the air fryer before use and using olive oil spray or brushing olive oil in the basket to prevent sticking is completely optional.

    🍳Reheating

You can reheat these cinnamon rolls on a plate in the microwave in about 15-30 second intervals until warmed through or you can place them in the air fryer at 330 degrees F for 1-2 minutes.

    🥗 Side Dishes

Depending on what your intentions are with these cinnamon rolls you can easily adjust your side dishes to accommodate. If you want the cinnamon rolls for dessert, they're great as-is but if you are planning to serve them up for breakfast then I recommend serving them with:

    • Caramel Iced Coffee
    • Baked Scrambled Eggs
    • Instant Pot Bacon

    💭 FAQs

How long to cook cinnamon rolls in air fryer

These rolls are ready in just 8 minutes. If desired, you can add another 2 minutes for an extra crispy cinnamon roll, but you'll find that most canned rolls are finished within 5-7 minutes.

Can I use parchment paper in the air fryer?

Adding parchment paper to your air fryer can help to keep your cinnamon rolls from sticking, but if you do this, I recommend using the parchment paper that is made for air fryers (it has holes for the air to circulate through and is usually cut to size).

How long are cinnamon rolls good for?

You can keep your cooked cinnamon rolls stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the fridge, but they will taste best when eaten fresh.
